A total of 14 Palestinian prisoners have been released from Israeli jails through the Kissufim crossing to Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Among the detainees included the elderly, women and children all showing visible signs of abuse and torture.
Zionist soldiers are notoriously known for abusing and torturing Palestinians who they kidnap during their illegal raids. As relieved families embraced their loved ones, some of the freed Palestinians opened up about the harsh conditions they were subjected to in Israeli jails.
Faris Hijazi from Rafah, who was held for two months spoke about the various methods of torture used by the Israeli Occupied Forces (IOF).
Prisoners would be deprived from sleep and be physically abused. Some prisoners were blindfolded and forced to lay on the ground for most of the day. Israeli soldiers only allowed prisoners to sleep for about three hours. When they are awoke, prisoners would be pepper sprayed or attacked by dogs.
Thousands of Palestinians from Gaza are held in Israeli jails without any justification, and subjected to inhumane conditions.
