A truck driver who was caught with just over R3.5 million worth of drugs is set to appear in a Western Cape magistrate’s court.
The 42-year-old was arrested on the N1 in Laingsburg after a search of the heavy-duty vehicle resulted in the discovery of 10 packets of mandrax and eight boxes of dagga.
According to police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie a patrol of the Rural Flying Squad made the bust. The suspect faces a charge of dealing in drugs.
