INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup pea/chana flour
- 2 tbsp cake flour
- 1 onion finely chopped/grated
- 1 tsp jeera
- 1 tsp koljana
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 level tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp crushed chilli or 1 fresh chilli
- Handful chopped fresh danya
- 1 or 2 spinach leaves
- 1 tsp baking powder
METHOD
- Mix and sieve all dry ingredients.
- Add more or less 1 cup water.
- Drop teaspoons full into hot oil.
- Fry for about 1 min. Test with a toothpick.
- To make bajias thin out batter.
- Do not shred spinach rather cut into squares
- dip into batter and shallow fry until crispy.
