There is a deliberate Israeli attempt to wipeout the presence of any healthcare in northern Gaza. The Ministry of Health’s spokesperson Dr Ashraf Al-Qidra says the US backed occupation forces are destroying hospitals and kidnapping medical staff which he says is tantamount to the execution of about 800,000 people. A reference to the Palestinians who reside in that part of the enclave.

At Al Shifa Hospital the occupation soldiers continue their war crime. It massacred 26 displaced people and injured dozens of others. A civilian car transporting the wounded was attacked at the gates of the medical complex. Two people were martyred, taking the number of killed there to 28. The Zionist forces have also shut the Al-Maamadani Baptist Hospital, abducted staff and others as well as destroyed the hospitals main entrance.

Qidra says the international silence over these Israeli atrocities against hospitals in the north is a green light for the crimes in southern Gaza. The occupation there has attacked the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The US backed Israeli war machine has butchered more than 19,400 Palestinians and wounded over 52 000 others. The large number of injured means that hospitals in Gaza which are barely operating due to the Israeli siege are overcrowded.
