Two men have been arrested in Parow after being found in possession of drugs worth an estimated street value of R50 000. Metro police officers made the bust after receiving a tip off about a motorist selling drugs from his vehicle. During their questioning, the officers noticed a green plastic bag in the vehicle.
The driver told them it was groceries. But a search revealed that it was just over 800 mandrax tablets. Metro police spokesperson Ruth Solomons says they also found 14 packets of cocaine, three packets of tik, and a unit of heroin in the vehicle. More than R5 000 in cash was found in the boot.The suspects face charges of dealing in drugs.
