A 14-year-old girl has been killed in New Forest Village in Eerste River.

According to police the teenager was shot at a premises in Budhi Crescent.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated. But the case has been transferred to detectives of the Anti-Gang Unit for further investigation.

Police spokesperson says Captain F.C Van Wyk says gang operational teams have also been busy with tracing operations since last night.

No arrests have yet been made.
