Authorities are being cautious in ensuring that nothing hinders the extradition of Atul and Rajesh Gupta back to South Africa.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) head, Shamila Batohi says that it could still take several months before they set foot in South Africa.

The brothers left the country to Dubai, after allegations surfaced of their links to so-called State Capture.

They were arrested in Dubai last month after an Interpol red notice was issued.

Justice Minister Ronald Lamola says that the Gupta brothers have already been charged for their links to the Estina matter.

It relates to a R24.9 million tender that was issued by the Free State Department of Agriculture to a company called Nulane Investments between November 2011 and April 2012.

The Gupta brothers are set to stand trial on charges of fraud, money laundering, and corruption.
