South Africans will finally be able to perform Hajj this year. Concerns about the spread of Covid-19 since 2020 drastically impacted the number of people allowed to participate in the pilgrimage. The doors are now open to international visitors, but with tighter regulations and quotas. However, in South Africa, the reduced number of pilgrims allowed to participate, and the concerns about which hajj regulators should be allowed to facilitate the pilgrimage places several question marks over Hajj 1443.
