In a wide-reaching interview, International Relations Minister, Naledi Pandor has outlined ongoing efforts to integrate African cooperation and exert the continent’s stances on affairs affecting AU nations and global politics.
Africa Day is marked on 25 May – when the Organisation of African Unity(OAU) was formed – and is celebrated as the starting point of a formalised cooperative framework for the continent. The OAU has now morphed into the African Union.
Among other subjects broached with the minister was the attempt by Zionist Israel to infiltrate the AU, the Covid-19 pandemic and the West’s treatment of the continent, intra-African trade and South Africa’s stances on conflicts such as in Ukraine.
