A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly stabbing to death a fellow pupil at a school in Zastron in the Free State.

According to police the suspect had been called to the principal’s office and instructed to call his parents after an argument with victim turned physical. Instead, the youngster came back with a knife and waited until the end of the school day. A fight erupted again and the suspect stabbed the learner in the chest. He fled the scene but was caught by community members.

The teenager faces a charge of murder.
