Government won’t be declaring a national state of disaster to respond to South Africa’s electricity crisis.

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan made the utterance in response to the DA’s Ghaleb Cachalia in Parliament.

Gordhan says it’s not necessary to declare a national state of disaster to help Eskom, and that Cachalia should distinguish between a state of disaster and a power system emergency.
