President Cyril Ramaphosa will survive the motion of no confidence not because he is doing well as a leader but because he has the numbers.

It comes as the motion tabled by the African Transformation Movement (ATM) will go ahead this afternoon in the National Assembly. However, the ATM will not participate after its request to postpone the vote was rejected. It lost the court bid for the vote to be secret.

At the same time the DA’s motion of no confidence in cabinet will also be debated. The main opposition party accuses the cabinet except President Ramaphosa of failing to provide services and security to citizens.
