The State Capture Inquiry has asked the North Gauteng High Court for an extension on its submission of the third and final instalment of the Commission’s findings.

It was meant to be delivered to President Cyril Ramaphosa by the end of this month.

But the Commission says that the extension to the end of April this year is necessary to ensure that all matters addressed. This report is meant to deal with issues affecting Eskom.

The utility has largely blamed corruption and mismanagement for its struggle to keep the lights on.

Commission chair, Raymond Zondo had to take time off from working on the final report to prepare for his Constitutional Court chief justice interview.
