A man has been found shot dead and another wounded in a vehicle outside the Johnston Road cemetery in Athlone.

Local police spokesperson Sergeant Zita Norman says the men in their thirties are from Manenberg. Both were shot in the head.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the gang-related incident.

No arrests have yet been made.
