A 14-year-old girl has been found half-naked with her throat slit on the side of the road near Strandfontein.

It’s understood that a passer-by was strolling near the dunes when he spotted the girl’s body and informed police.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she is being treated. A case of attempted murder has been opened for investigation.

No arrests have yet been made.
