The Wynberg Community Police Forum (CPF) believes the brazen shooting outside a mosque in Park Road was an isolated incident.

A 29-year-old man was killed and two others injured when suspects fired shots on their vehicle. They are said to have just exited the mosque after Friday prayers. It’s suspected the attack was gang-related.

The Anti-Gang Unit is said to be investigating the incident.

In recent weeks deadly gang-terror has flared up on the Cape Flats with at least two children being killed. A four-year-old girl in Ottery and a 10-year-old boy in Manenberg.
