As the Saudi government has relaxed restrictions on travellers from South Africa, many are excited to embark on their umrah pilgrimage this year.
However, those who had been approved for Hajj last year, are wondering what this means for their pilgrimage. The South African Hajj and Umrah Council had since last year worked with travel agents to reimburse those who could not embark on the Hajj pilgrimage due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
