The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa are staging an indefinite, national strike.
This comes after an escalating battle for a living wage of R12 500 a month.
Workers also complain of systematic attacks of working conditions under the guise of the Covid-19 pandemic, outsourcing being the main concern.
