Applications for the Social Relief of Distress(SRD) grant aimed at offering relief to the most vulnerable during the Covid-19 pandemic  have been open since Friday.

And while there were some glitches with the process, Sassa maintains that these have been addressed.

The need for the SRD grant was emphasised last year, however, many people did not have access to it. All this as the long queues persist at various post offices and Sassa offices.
