A large consignment of drugs has been uncovered in Bothasig.
Police raided a residence that had been under surveillance for some time and found drugs to the value of R 83 000. The drug stash included tik, mandrax, dagga, cocaine, and ecstasy. Officers also uncovered counterfeit cigarettes, and other presumed stolen property. Police also seized a bakkie and motorbike which are believed to have been used in the commission of crimes.
Two suspects, a 46-year-old male and a 25-year-old female were arrested and detained on charges of dealing in drugs and possession of counterfeit and presumed stolen goods.
The suspects are expected to appear in Goodwood Magistrate’s today.
