At least three people have lost their lives in two separate fires in Cape Town. The bodies of a man and boy were found with fatal burn wounds after a fire at a dwelling in Cornflower Street in Mitchells Plain.
The City’s Fire and Rescue Service says three women also sustained burn wounds to the face, body and feet. In a second incident a fire was reported at a dwelling in Nandina Road in Macassar.
The bedroom was gutted and the body of a woman was found next to the bed. The cause of these deadly fires are being investigated.
