At least two Egyptians accused of kidnapping and murdering their former business partner in Western Cape will remain behind bars for now.
The pair was remanded in custody after a brief appearance in the Grabouw Magistrate’s Court.
According to the police’s preliminary investigation the suspects allegedly confronted Saeed Mansour, also an Egyptian, at his business in Grabouw. They accused him of taking a substantial amount of cash from their profits. Police say Mansour was then forced into their car.
He was later reported missing.
Upon investigating a case of kidnapping, one of the accused cooperated with police and pointed to where Mansour’s body had been buried. It was along Baden Powell Drive near Mitchell’s Plain.
The case has been transferred to the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court.
