The death toll from the Seoul Halloween stampede in South Korea has climbed to 149.
Majority of the deceased were in their 20s.
They were killed after a huge crowd celebrating Halloween stormed into an alley in the Choi Sung-beom district last night. A further 65 people were injured, 19 of which are in serious condition.
Emergency services have warned that the death toll is likely to rise.
This was the first Halloween event in Seoul in three years since the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown restrictions were lifted.
